Happy Holidays

“I seem to be having tremendous
difficulty with my lifestyle."

During theses next holiday days I'm gonna take a break from diligently learning too much Astronomy, Science, Cosmology, Physics, Astrobiology and other cool (The Great Courses) space stuff (you see, there's a certain order I am learning all this stuff), and I will be enjoying theses other neat, super-fun The Great Courses releases:

  • My Favorite Universe
  • The Inexplicable Universe: Unsolved Mysteries
  • New Frontiers: Modern Perspective on Our Solar System
  • Einstein's Relativity and the Quantum Revolution: Modern Physics for Non-Scientists, 2nd Edition
  • Impossible: Physics beyond the Edge

I share this information because if you take delight or are curious about science, the universe, physics, astronomy, our solar system and other cool space stuff, then do yourself a favor and check out these DVDs. Make sure to also get your hands on the accompanying guidebooks for each individual release - they will make absorbing this information a delightful experience.

StarTalk is a program I enjoy a little too much.

Science, pop culture and comedy collide on StarTalk.
Actually, do yourself favor and immerse yourself in watching StarTalk right now: it is too much fun!

Total Perspective Vortex

The Great Courses: Overview Effect

Space and time. Time and space.

Journeys in Space and Time.

Spacetime has always fascinated me. As far back as I can remember, space-time continuum has done an excellent job at stimulating my surreal pop mind.

Some of my favorite songs by PJ Harvey: YURI-G (Ride Of Me, 1993) and electronic, industrial songs (and albums) by haujobb: DISTANCE (Solutions for a Small Planet, 1996), Steril: DISTANCE (Transmission Pervous, 1995), Forma Tadre: LE MUSÉE DES APPAREILS (Automate, 1998) + CELEBRATE THE CULT (Navigator, 1997), and Individual Totem: NEW GENERAL CATALOGUE (S.E.T.I., 1996) have managed to seep into my spirit and nestle itself into my subconscious, and as time went by, my thirst for knowledge, love for the cosmos began to flow through my blood and illuminate my art.

I kinda have a habit of drawing and painting our planet and the universe in a lot of my art. It's actually quite prominent in my video art pieces. I was going to go somewhere really interesting with this... but I figure it is best right about now I let the following photos take center stage:

Bill Nye: Funko • The Planetary Society • Carl Sagan: COSMOS + Pale Blue Dot

Remove Before Launch

“Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-boggling big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space. Listen....It's just so big that by comparison, bigness itself looks really titchy...”

I Find Myself In A Million Places

Haujobb (Distance)

I have been spending these past few months regenerating my mind, body and spirit. It has been an interesting year to say the least.

Perseverance. Perseverance would be a good word to sum up how this year began. Right at the very beginning of the year I had to shift gears and train myself to heal properly. It has indeed been a very interesting year so far.

ULTRAMAN | ウルトラマン

I've been indulging in all things ULTRAMAN and, most importantly, regenerating my mind, body and spirit. I'm using my time wisely in order to rest, regenerate.

As an artist it is important to be open to all sorts of forms of inspiration and various art forms. One of the things I take immense delight in is anything, everything ULTRAMAN

Here's some randomly neat information: ULTRAMAN: Towards The Future premiered in the United States on my birthday, January 4th 1992. Just the same way Shin Hayata was destined to become one with URUTORAMAN, it was inevitable I would forever be changed and super-inspired by ULTRAMAN.

Growing up I tried getting into DC, Marvel, Batman, Superman, and Spiderman, but they never caught my attention or inspired me. The art of Anime, Manga and Tokusatsu has always manged to blow, satisfy and delight my Surreal Pop Mind.

Here are ULTRAMAN things that inspire me, always.

Back sometime in 2013 I conjured up,
ULTRAMAN Remix Pop Art Wallpaper,
an homage, tribute to ULTRAMAN.

Download the ULTRAMAN
Remix Pop Art Wallpaper here:

Here's a list of ULTRAMAN
shows I've been watching:
  • Ultra Q
  • Ultraman
  • Ultraseven
  • Return of Ultraman
  • Ultraman Tiga
  • Ultraman Max
  • Ultraman Mebius
  • Ultraman Ginga (S)
  • Ultraman X
  • Ultrman Orb
  • Ultrman Orb: The Chronicles
  • Ultraman Geed

Thank You,
Eiji Tsuburaya
