How to: Stay Super-Focused

 "Conjure Up Promo Material"

Nicely Destroyed series • Promo 1

One effective way I learned to maintain momentum while working on a big art project is to Conjure Up as much Promo Material as you can. There's something motivating about hyping yourself up when you create promo designs. Say you have 1 of 10 paintings or poems or songs for an album or just about anything that's gonna be a rigorous project you have to complete.

With just 1 or 2 creations done, you now have a feel, an idea where to spearhead your project. You can use those creations to promote, inspire and motivate you to look forward to getting to The Finish Line. Remix those promo designs as much as you want. Brainstorm: make GIFs, Videos or printout your promo designs to Focus Ahead.

Learn how to design. If you don't know how, fake it until you make it: make the designing program work for you. Heck, l've even used my phone's Notepad to Conjure Up promo material for past projects.

By creating a super-promotional campaign, it forces you to totally make whatever project come to life, and make good on your promise that a certain deadline will most definitely be met.

Ultimately, the goal is to keep you highly motivated, far away from getting lost in procrastination, and focused on delivering your once tough project at a very specific time. This formula is especially great when you have absolutely no support or encouragement for your outrageously nutty work of art. Your promo designs will encourage you to stay on a fixed path. Create as much as you can and don’t stop ‘til you get enough!

 Always Remember:

The trick is to make it fun For You

“Hey, Porter!”

Johnny Cash | Listen: Hey Porter

My annual Summer (Sun Records) Rockabilly Fun has inspired me to totally immerse myself in
Classic Country.

It’s all thanks to Johnny Cash, Charlie Feathers and growing up in the 80’s. Way back in early 80’s I clearly remember Dolly PartonKenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, John Denver, Reba McEntire, George Strait… It seemed like they were everywhere. The Dukes of Hazzard theme song, by the legendary Waylon Jennings, has never stopped randomly playing in my Surreal Pop mind.

Charlie Feathers made me bonkers for Rockabilly and appreciate Classic Country music. Charlie Feathers music has a, Come Si Dice*, a certain kind of relaxed, cool essence to it. I love the Rockabilly parts of it as well as the Country flavor in Charlie Feathers songs.

I absolutely love everything Johnny Cash recorded while at Sun Records. This time around, instead of enjoying all the Rockabilly Sun Records has to offer, I felt the need for more Cash after Sun Records, and so far, I truly enjoy what I hear.

The story so far…

Hank Williams • Johnny Cash • Buck Owens • Merle Haggard  • Waylon Jennings • Kris Kristofferson & it keeps on going.

Waylon Jennings | Lyrics

I've always been crazy, and the

trouble that it's put me through

Been busted for things

that I did, and I didn't do

I can't say I'm proud of all

of the things that I've done

But I can say I've never

intentionally hurt anyone

I've always been different

with one foot over the line

Winding up somewhere

one step ahead or behind

It ain't been so easy, but

I guess I shouldn't complain

I've always been crazy, but

it's kept me from going insane

Beautiful lady, are you

sure that you understand

The chances you're taking

loving a free living man?

Are you really sure you

really want what you see?

Be careful of something that's

just what you want it to be

I've always been crazy, but

it's kept me from going insane

Nobody knows if it's something

to bless or to blame

So far I ain't found a rhyme

or a reason to change

I've always been crazy, but

it's kept me from going insane

Waylon Jennings

PERÚ: PERSEVERANCE 🇺🇸

by John PESCORAN

I'm South American, Perúvian, American. Or just John Pescoran of The Americas.

Growing up I had a rather difficult time juggling speaking Español, learning English, & trying not to fumble the two while trying to manage my Asperger's, ASD, Autistic-Artistic Surreal Pop mind.

Along the way during pivotal moments of my life, three Natural Born World-Shakers have taught me to persevere. These three individuals who where either born abroad: Gene Simmons (Israel) & Elon Musk (South Africa), or born here from Slovakian parents, Andy Warhol. All three have faced giant obstacles, setbacks & persevered in spite of hardship.

To them, I am forever grateful for their influence, guidance and love for AMERICA: If vou're going to make art: GO ALL THE WAY 🇺🇸

A Piece of the Puzzle 🧠

Thanks to Elon Musk for speaking about Asperger's (ASD), I was able to locate a very important part to a piece of a puzzle called my Surreal Pop mind. Since I was very young until this day, I create non-stop and brainstorm until I pass out.

My hyperfocus, razor-sharp focus nature allows me to conjure up all the art I've ever created. I was diagnosed with Asperger's while in the 4th grade.

EXPLODING with IDEAS

When I was I don't know five or six or something, I thought I was insane, because it was clear that a lot of people-their MIND wasn't EXPLODING with IDEAS all the time.

KISS | BOOKS

KISS · BOOKS

I have a reading problem. You see, I can't just read one book. I tend to read up to 3-4 books at once. Some years ago I used to read up to six books at the same time.

During the summer I take a break from reading too much, and I just focus on one book. I've made it a tradition to read a KISS related book during the summer.

I've actually used (and still use) KISS: Behind The Mask as a guide and super-inspiration in my immersion into POP ART. KISS: Behind The Mask never stops to inspire and motivate me.
